Todays ride was pretty straight forward, back down the Stuart Highway to Katherine. My brother Colin told me of a nice detour to the west of the highway just south of Adelaide River so Tony and I took it and had a very pleasant ride back to the Stuart Highway 60 kms north of Pine Creek. I went into Pine Creek to check it out but it wasn't anything special. When I got to Katherine I went to the Honda dealer where I bought a rear tyre in 2010. I was looking for a plastic waterproof cover for my tank bag as mine had disintegrated but they didn't have any so I hope it doesn't rain before I find one later in the trip.
Tony, Graham and I had lunch at the "Coffee Club" in the main street, very good with great service.
This evening we were back to having drinks and nibbles out of one of the trailers, very enjoyable.

Dinner was a riot. Greg Hendersen was standing behind me when I was sitting at the table when he lent over and grabbed my bread roll and ate it thinking it was his. I couldn't believe it! When I pointed out to him that he had just eaten my roll the whole table erupted with laughter. He offered me the rest of his own half-eaten roll as compensation. He will not be allowed to forget this incident for the rest of the trip.
