Todays ride was officially 317 kms to Darwin so pretty easy. Tony Raditsis and I decided to ride through the Litchfield NP on the way to Darwin. It added about 120 kms to the trip. Again it was very hot 35C and very hunid. It was Ok when riding the bike but as soon as you stopped to check out any attraction you became a sweaty mess. We checked out the " Magnetic Termite Mounds", the "Florence Falls" and the "Wangi Falls".

The two " falls" were spectacular with the Wangi Falls the better. You could swim in the pool at the base of the Florence Falls but we passed on that as we didn't have towels and it would have been such a palaver getting out of and back into our riding gear.

After the Wangi Falls we headed out of the park for Darwin about a 100 kms away. We arrived at the hotel in a lather of sweat, booked in and cooled off in the aircon of our rooms. My room is on the 25th floor with a view over Darwin harbour.

We have two nights in Darwin so I need to plan what I am going to do tomorrow apart from my laundry. I've been informed by the owner of apartment 2603 that there is a waher and drier available in that apartment that we can use.
